I read this book and my friends can't wait for each other to read it, so 3 of them have already bought their own copies!
If you want a book on sexual positions and techniques, this book is not for you. However, if you are a woman who wants to learn that it is OK to be sexy and how to incorperate sexyness into everyday of your life (as well as redefine your idea about what it means to be "bad") this book is awesome! It is really about becoming an autonomous, confidant, adult woman! It's great!
My self-esteem is rising as I do the excersizes (don't worry, most of them are even FUN!) in the book. My posture has changed, I no longer have clothes in my warddrobe that I do not enjoy wearing, and it has opened up a whole range of wonderful conversation with my girls. I was browsing through my local book store when I came upon this book. I sat in there for about 2 hrs reading this book non-stop. It's incredible! I think it has enhanced my sexual self-esteem and desires. I discussed the book with my boyfriend, and he also read it..and learned a thing or two. Although a newer sex book, it is already my favorite sex book to recommend (I work as a sex educator for adults). It's well written, easy to read, has great diagrams, fun quizzes at the start of every chapter and - best of all - the information is GREAT. It's right on, it's accurate and written by someone who totally knows what she is talking about.

A major frustration of mine is that a lot of sex books are written by random people who don't know what they're talking about but act like they do. These are the same people who wind up doing things that their partners find unpleasurable but they do them because they read it in a book or magazine (that was wrong!). FINALLY - a book written by an expert who is fun, smart, and clearly loves sex! Dr. Debby writes about sex the way it should be written about - like it's fun and something we can learn to find pleasurable, exciting and connecting with our partners.

This is the kind of book that you will read over and over...

This book was okay, but not really for women who are in tune with their bodies, and looking to spice up their love life. This seems to be more geared to those not comfortable with sex and their own bodies.

How I wish this book had existed when I was a teenager. It would have saved me a rap sheet of frustrated lovers and broken relationships as long as a porn star's pork sword with a pommel on the end. Men, if you're really serious about being a good lover, go out and buy this book. It will be the best fiver you ever spent. In fact, I'm thinking of buying my girlfriend the author's companion volume, The Ultimate Guide to Fellatio, next Christmas. Not that she needs it, you understand.

Beautifully Erotic and Infomative
Perhaps the book is 4-stars, not 5. My review is designed to dilute the previous one-star condemnation. I'm totally baffled as to what is "pornish" and "juvenile" about this book. (Read my comments on her review.)

To be honest, I'm an interested novice on the subject of Kama Sutra, and probably don't know a 4-star from a 5-star read. I hoped to upload photos from the book for you to make your own decisions, but they are "nude" and forbidden to upload.

The photos are beautifully erotic, full color, lots of light and shadow, upscale, minimally explicit: yes, breasts; yes, some pubic hair; yes -- couples enjoying intercourse. The book is about sex, after all.

Unlike some sex books with illustrations, the photos are clear in "what to do" with one's body, to achieve the pose. Each pose is rated with a degree of difficulty, and type: example "soft, gentle" vs. "deep, intense, hot".
